I am a real estate agent with a special understanding of and interest in historic houses and neighborhoods.  I hold a B.A. in Anthropology with emphasis on Historic Archaeology, a B.A. in Urban Studies, and a M.S. in Urban and Regional Planning.  I am not only familiar with historic architectural styles and neighborhood plans, I am knowledgeable about the economic development of historic neighborhoods.  Further, I am qualified to assist you in the process of buying or selling a house.

I am very passionate about Knoxville historic neighborhoods.  A large portion of my education was spent studying downtown Knoxville and the surrounding historic neighborhoods.  For example, I inventoried the architectural works of George Barber and the Baumann brothers, architecture that is truly a unique selling point, in neighborhoods surrounding downtown Knoxville.  Further, my thesis was written on the potential for retail stores in downtown Knoxville and the surrounding neighborhoods.  I have also been a resident of various Knoxville historic neighborhoods.

As a local real estate agent, I offer a specialized and unique service to buyers and sellers of historic homes.  I bring buyers and sellers of historic houses together through my knowledge and understanding of architectural style, history, and community within the historic neighborhoods of Knoxville.  I work hard to deliver this information beyond traditional marketing plans.  If you are considering buying or selling a historic house, please
contact me. I would value the opportunity to further discuss the exceptional service that I provide.

Sincerely,

Jennifer Montgomery
